| I know not where you reside in my world. I know where your kingdom is and how to get there. The straight and narrow path along the jagged rocks in which your eye guides each of my steps along the smooth ones you have wrought forth from the beginning of creation, planned for my path, precise for my step. Not too far as to hurry my pace, and not to short as to keep the trial as if I were timid and afraid. Your face becons me and as I look ahead, you have given me the ability to see to the right and to the left knowing they are off of the path you have set for me and are calling me. Protect me as I long to go after you for the long race and not the immediate happiness that will fall me into ruin. Grant me eyes to not only see the left and the right, but to see into your grace that longs to wash me and keep me in your presence. |
